Coming Soon: Puma Suede 'Year of the Horse' Pack

As 2013 draws to a close, here we get a look at what Puma has planned to celebrate the lunar Chinese calendar.  The year of 2014 will celebrate the horse and this will see the release of a four way pack arriving in stores in the not so distant future.

With each new Chinese Year it’s common for brands mark the occasion with a themed trainer release and 2014 will be no different for Puma. The pack which features fours shoes based on their infamous Suede and Suede Mid silhouettes features various details highlighting Chinese culture and pastimes. Using a combination of rich suede and luxury textured leather in a copper and dark brown colourway across the two models. The Chinese symbol for the horse (馬) is featured on the tongue, heel and etched on a wooden chessboard piece which accompanies each of the shoes. The inner sole also features the print of a traditional chessboard. They’ll come packaged in a specially designed box and set for release at selected retailers on January 1st 2014, which is actually over a month before Chinese New Year begins.
